Executive Summary
A US-based start-up integrated Xeni to rapidly scale their innovative travel browser extension. The company was able to focus on its core competency of marketing its browser extension to travel buyers without having to build a full travel booking infrastructure. The client generated over $600K of booking volume within a year, starting from having no volume at all.
Strategic Rationale
The client had built a marketing organization geared towards driving downloads of its browser extension. The client was looking to achieve high ROI on its marketing spend without investing millions of dollars in developing booking technology and UI, nor building commercial relationships with vendors and funding deposits.
The product suite
The client used a low code integration with Xeni to rapidly offer a full travel booking solution rather than rely on lower commission affiliate links. The client offered Xeni powered hotels and car rentals.
Integration and operational lift
The client completed the integration and launched it within two weeks.
Key Results (March 2024 – February 2025)
- Total Booking Revenue: $600,000
- Avg Booking Value: $489
Commission margins (June 2025)
The commission margin far exceeds the commission rate of affiliate links, which are generally capped at 3%. ROI for the browser extension was double what it would have been driving users to affiliate links.
- $35K in commissions
- 1274 bookings completed
- Commission rate: 6.0%
Strategic learnings
The client was able to quickly scale a business using only marketing spend and customer support cost. The client did not have to invest to build a travel booking system or develop their own user interface designs. Xeni also served as an operational partner in terms of accessing wholesale rate inventory, managing bookings and vendors, and communicating with travelers.
Results Detail
The client launched in March '24 and initiated marketing spend in April '25. The client experienced operational issues for a few months (August and September of 2024), reducing their volumes in those months.

The number of bookings per month generally trended upwards, as did the average value per booking. The bookings volume depended entirely on the marketing efforts of the client, and they were able to drive consistently strong volumes.
